Clinical Fellow in Retrieval Medicine with London Access

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transfer Doctor to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Critical Care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of critically unwell patients across hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Champion the safe and efficient transfer of critically unwell patients across hospitals.
- Streamline practices, education, transfer operations, and governance within a single service.
- Contribute to the repatriation of patients back to their local Intensive Care units across the country.
- Collaborate with other Trusts to consider 50/50 job share opportunities within their Intensive Care Units and ACCESS.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- GMC Registration.
- Primary FRCA/MRCP or equivalent.
- Completed stage 1 training in anaesthetics/ICM (or equivalent).
- Completed a transfer course and had clinical experience of inter-hospital transfers.
- ALS or equivalent.
We would also like to consider candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Full FRCA / FICM.
- Experience in cardiothoracic critical care.
- APLS/EPLS (instructor status).
- FICE/FUSIC.
- ATLS or equivalent (instructor status ideal).
- PHEC/MIMMS/MIMMS.
- Diploma in Retrieval and Transfer Medicine.
- Diploma in Immediate Medical care.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding and knowledge of research and the ability to interpret research papers.
Management and LeadershipWe are seeking a candidate with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, work under pressure, and adapt to changing clinical environments.
