About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the solar energy sector. As the Head of Sales and Business Development, you will be responsible for expanding our client base, nurturing existing relationships, and developing strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar energy sector, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Client System Design: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their energy needs and design tailored solar solutions, providing technical expertise during the design phase to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Ongoing Client Support: Serve as a dedicated point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns, assisting clients as they expand or adapt their solar energy systems, and conducting regular follow-ups to maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Business Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies that align with our overall business goals, analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support as needed, setting clear performance targets, and monitoring both individual and team achievements.
Requirements
  • Solar Savvy: Proven experience in solar energy sales or a related technical field, with a solid understanding of the ins and outs of solar panel installation.
  • Business Builder: Proven track record of successfully acquiring new clients and driving revenue growth.
  • Team Leader: Experience managing a sales team and inspiring and motivating others to achieve their best.
  • People Person: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Industry Insight: Knowledge of the construction industry and technical sales is a bonus, but the ability to assess market trends and identify growth opportunities is a must.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM software, using it to track sales activities and manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Flexible & Mobile: Comfortable with hybrid working, spending three days in our office and two days working from home, and willing to travel as needed.
