Job Description

Job Title: Mobile Field Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Field Engineer to join our Defence team. As a Mobile Field Engineer, you will be responsible for performing routine servicing, inspections, and repairs to MoD vehicles and Aircraft Support Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs to MoD vehicles and Aircraft Support Equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair defects in vehicles and support equipment using technical manuals and diagnostic techniques.
  • Carry out thorough inspections of accident-damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
  • Work accurately, following commercial and military publications as appropriate.
  • Represent Terberg DTS Service Department in the field and display the highest standards of appearance, manner, and technical ability.
  • Ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, MoD instructions/regulations, and Terberg's Safe Systems of Work.
  • Obtain agreement from the customer that the work has been completed as required/requested and in all cases to obtain acceptance of the equipment by the customer following repair/maintenance.
  • Understand the Company's Health & Safety Policy and work safely and co-operate to enable Terberg DTS (UK) Ltd to fulfil its statutory obligations.
  • Attend all training courses/seminars as the business requires.
  • Keep all company equipment in a clean, safe, and presentable manner.
  • Ensure high standards of preventative maintenance and repairs are actioned in line with MoD documentation, manufacturers' recommendations/instructions, and our Safe System of Work procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a level 3 qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair or City and Guilds Level 3 (Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems) Maintenance and Repair Qualification or equivalent qualification.
  • UK valid driving licence.
