Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering project work for Millbrook and providing global service and maintenance capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to modify vehicle systems to a high standard
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Team leaders, and Technician Supervisors to champion and lead small-scale production/prototype activities
  • Assist Production engineering to define processes to ensure repeatable quality of output in a timely manner
  • Diagnose complex vehicle mechanical and electrical faults at component and harness/wiring level and conduct and direct appropriate sanctioned rework to the required quality standard
  • Lead the strip, modification, and build of vehicles for the installation of bespoke in-vehicle electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
  • Produce reports to record inspection, maintenance, and repair activity, providing written and photographic evidence as required
  • Focus on continuous improvement - working with the engineering and production leadership teams to improve efficiency/quality during build

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the design, assembly, and operation of civilian armored vehicles (CAVs) in various environments
  • Broad knowledge of maintenance processes, policies, capabilities, practices, support resources, and other elements required to effectively represent the business when overseas
  • Experience conducting maintenance operations and inspections in an MoD Equipment Support environment would be beneficial
  • Experience in the automotive field with prototype vehicle modification and repair required

Qualifications:

  • Formally trained with recognized L3 motor vehicle qualifications, e.g., C & G, Institute of Motoring (IMI)
  • MOT tester certified, or equivalent

  • Able to follow and develop procedures
  • Flexible and adaptable to new situations
  • MS Office literate

Personal Behaviors:

  • Desire to provide excellent service and produce best-in-class results
  • Able to work proactively within a team and provide leadership when the opportunity presents
  • SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
  • Full UK driving license, including C1 classification
