Job Title: Senior Field Service Technician

UTAC Special Vehicles is a leading provider of digital and sustainable mobility solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for delivering project work for UTAC Special Vehicles and providing global service and maintenance capability. This role will involve stripping and modifying vehicles, installing and modifying electrical and mechanical systems, and conducting inspections and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose complex vehicle mechanical and electrical faults and conduct sanctioned rework to the required quality standard
  • Lead the strip, modification, and build of vehicles for the installation of bespoke in-vehicle electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
  • Produce reports to record inspection, maintenance, and repair activity, providing written and photographic evidence as required
  • Focus on continuous improvement, working with the engineering and production leadership teams to improve efficiency and quality during build
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with the design, assembly, and operation of Civilian Armoured Vehicles (CAVs) in a variety of environments
  • Broad knowledge of maintenance processes, policies, capabilities, practices, support resources, and other elements required to effectively represent the business when overseas
  • Experience conducting maintenance operations and inspections in an MoD Equipment Support environment would be beneficial
  • Experience in the automotive field with prototype vehicle modification and repair required
  • MOT tester certified, or equivalent
  • Flexible and adaptable to new situations
  • MS Office literate
  • Desire to provide excellent service and produce best-in-class results
  • Full UK driving license including C1 classification
