Position: Operational Engineer - SAP
As an Operational Engineer - SAP, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, reporting directly to the Lead Operational Engineer. This role is based within our dynamic UK Power Networks Services.
Your role will involve a competitive salary along with additional benefits that enhance your overall compensation package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering activities within the project team, focusing on new construction, asset replacement, and fault response.
- Act as a deputy for the Lead Operational Engineer, participating in client and contractor meetings.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to ensure the safe and efficient execution of engineering tasks.
- Maintain safety management throughout all activities, adhering to the UK Power Networks Services safety initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Oversee construction programs for both UK Power Networks Services and client-owned assets, ensuring compliance with time and budget constraints.
- Lead planning and execution of works, representing the organization during client interactions.
- Manage engineering activities, working closely with technicians and apprentices to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and develop site-specific procedures.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum 11kV Senior Authorised Person status, with 33kV authorisation preferred.
- Experience with distribution systems from 400V to 33kV.
- Security clearance for client infrastructure access.
- HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Desirable:
- Understanding of UK Power Networks Services operations.
- Relevant safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
As a manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of your team and those affected by your work. This includes providing necessary training and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
