Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Parent Support Advisor to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Enfield to provide support to families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Carry a complex caseload and key work with families who are referred for support, taking on the lead professional role to coordinate a multi-agency whole family approach to address difficulties.
  • Assessment and Planning: Undertake whole family assessments ensuring a high standard of service to families, including securing the services of other agencies.
  • Goal Setting and Review: Review action plans regularly and coordinate activity to ensure agreed tasks are identified and goals reached in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Ensure that the service is delivered at times that suit and meet the needs of the families, including early mornings and late evenings.
  • Partnership Working: Work in partnership with social workers to effectively step-down cases to the Early Help Service, thus reducing social care case loads.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Significant experience of direct work with children, young people, and their families in the family home or in the community.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Experience of working effectively in co-operation and partnership with a range of communities, partner agencies, private sector bodies, public agencies, voluntary bodies, and statutory agencies appropriate to the service area.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work assertively to achieve sustainable and positive change, including negotiation and problem-solving in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to keep accurate records, organise, plan, and coordinate work, and proficient use of IT systems, such as Outlook, MS Office, and electronic case management systems.
