We specialize in identifying and engaging healthcare professionals at the right time, optimizing treatment options for patients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a Data Privacy Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and enforce comprehensive privacy policies, ensuring adherence to evolving privacy regulations and industry standards.
  • Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and other contracts to ensure robust data protection clauses.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all privacy-related inquiries within the assigned business unit, ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Support and perform Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to evaluate and mitigate privacy risks associated with data processing activities.
  • Establish and enforce procedures that align with privacy policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
  • Conduct thorough privacy impact assessments and risk analyses to identify and address potential data privacy issues.
  • Manage data breaches, including coordinating response efforts and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Engage with regulators, external counsel, and public authorities, fostering trust and ensuring compliance with data privacy obligations.
  • Prepare and finalize agreements, contracts, and other legal documents, ensuring the protection of the company's data privacy rights and obligations.
  • Navigate complex legal issues involving multiple stakeholders, focusing on data privacy and protection.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to executives on data privacy topics, including labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, and more.
  • Assist in implementing the Central Privacy Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to PeakData AG's privacy policies and relevant data protection laws.

Requirements:

  • Certification in privacy areas such as CIPP/E or CIPM is a significant advantage.
  • A Master's degree in Law.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on data privacy.
  • Corporate experience in a global environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property (IP), data management, security, and privacy regulations.
