Role Responsibilities
- Supporting senior team members in managing a portfolio of international clients, delivering financial services offered by the firm, which encompass:
- Payroll management
- Processing accounts payable and executing payments
- Overseeing client funds
- Reimbursing employee expenses
- Preparing management accounts
- Handling VAT and other indirect taxes
- International human resources support
- This role will involve entering accounts payable invoices and expense claims into accounting systems, initiating payments from client bank accounts, and verifying the accuracy of payroll and other services provided by the firm's international offices.
- Additional tasks may include establishing bookkeeping in Sage or other accounting platforms and setting up beneficiaries in banking systems.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts in multiple currencies.
- Collaborating with the Compliance team to address inquiries related to year-end statutory accounts and compliance matters.
- Participating in client calls and documenting action items.
- Coordinating with external parties in the UK and overseas to follow up on services rendered.
- Responding to client inquiries.
- Raising any issues or concerns to the Team Senior/Supervisor.
- Performing administrative tasks for the team.
- Addressing ad hoc inquiries and exercising initiative in various situations.
- Ensuring timely delivery of all work.
Essential Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for management accounting experience.
- Currently pursuing or aspiring to pursue an accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT).
- International experience is advantageous.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and develop relationships swiftly.
- Able to share knowledge within the team and conduct research as necessary.
- Awareness of risk management and the ability to produce high-quality documents on the first attempt.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting systems such as SAGE and NetSuite.
- Interest in the broader context of what Global Business Solutions and the wider firm can offer clients.
- Strong attention to detail.
