The Clinical Nutrition Specialist will collaborate with Senior Dietitians to offer specialized nutritional support to patients in Cardiology, Critical Care, and Oncology, with potential contributions to gastro-surgical units. There will also be opportunities to assist in the outpatient department during peak times.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nutritional care tailored to inpatient needs, ensuring that recommendations are evidence-based and adhere to best practices.
Key Qualifications:
- BSc in Dietetics or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
- A minimum of three years of experience, including 12-18 months in Cardiology, Critical Care, and Oncology
- Expertise in teaching the low FODMAP diet for IBS
- Experience in diverse clinical settings such as nutrition support, weight management, and gastroenterology
- Commitment to continued professional development (CPD) and capability to lead service improvement initiatives
- Experience in project evaluation and clinical audits
- Familiarity with nutritional screening methodologies
