The Offshore Development team at SSE Enterprise is actively seeking an Interface Project Manager to oversee the effective management of various interfaces related to a significant project. This initiative involves High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Converter Stations, associated civil engineering works, subsea cable installations, and AC connections. This project is integral to our broader commitment to achieving sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating the coordination of activities between HVDC converter, HVDC cable, and civil contract scopes, ensuring effective management of onshore and offshore interface points.
- Taking ownership of the interface management plan, maintaining the RACI matrix, and establishing procedures to ensure alignment across various contract work packages.
- Identifying potential issues that may impact costs or timelines, promoting timely and clear communication with other contracts for effective exchange of interface information.
- Supporting the assessment and reporting of risks associated with interfaces, recommending solutions for risk reduction through established risk management platforms.
- Assisting in project governance activities, ensuring progression through the necessary project gates in accordance with governance framework requirements.
Qualifications Required:
To be considered for this position, we would like you to possess:
- Extensive experience in project development and execution, with direct involvement in managing design interfaces between multiple contractors and adeptness in identifying and resolving project risks.
- A relevant Engineering degree, with a preference for Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it, alongside familiarity with health and safety legislation and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- Experience within the Transmission industry, construction, or utilities sector on major projects.
- Capability to manage interfaces with design teams from contractors and SSE Enterprise, with experience in reporting and managing requirements.
- An understanding of integrated project contracts and programmes, with knowledge of FIDIC contracts being advantageous.
