Job Overview

Hawes & Curtis is seeking a highly skilled Branch Merchandiser to join our team. As a key member of our Merchandising team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our stores have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time.

We are looking for someone with significant Branch Merchandising experience who can introduce and establish key Branch Merchandising functions, including best practice processes and KPIs. You will work closely with our Merchandising, Buying, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Teams to ensure accurate shop floor and stock room capacities and optimal Option/SKU counts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Introduce and establish key Branch Merchandising functions, including best practice processes and KPIs
  • Work with Merchandising on initial allocation quantities (IAQ), store capacities, and seasonal floor sets for full price stores
  • Communicate and manage New Season launches, working with the MAA and Production teams to ensure stock is receipted and fulfils KPIs
  • Review weekly sales and stock by location to optimise productivity, with space and density analysis, presenting results and actions to the Merchandising team
  • Identify commercial opportunities and risks within the retail network
  • Review allocations – initial and replenishment – as well as coordinating stock transfers between stores and ecommerce
  • Provide the warehouse with forecasts on a regular basis
  • Manage stock builds for End of Season Sale and promotional activities
  • Plan and execute End of Season inventory risk and opportunities
  • Regularly review slow stock packages, identifying areas of opportunity, and working with the Merchandising team to mitigate risk
  • Review Promotional Calendar and ensure stock builds are planned accordingly
Requirements
  • Solid experience in a similar Branch Merchandising role
  • Passion for working with Retail and Warehouse teams
  • Commercial head, able to identify risks and opportunities
  • Proven ability to embed robust processes that contribute towards successful achievement of company targets and KPIs
  • Ability to translate technical merchandising data into strategic and tactical objectives that can be used across the business
  • Excellent communication skills – persuasive, engaging, and making complex data relatable
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong eye for detail and numbers
  • Experience of influencing multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task
