Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As an Advanced Practitioner in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, you will be responsible for providing expert assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex spinal conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake advanced assessment and investigation of spinal patients referred by GPs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and pathways for spinal care
  • Participate in research and audit activities to advance professional practice
Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Masters degree in a relevant field
  • HCPC registration
  • Proven experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, particularly in spinal care
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Injection Therapy qualification
  • Non-medical prescriber qualification
  • Experience of teaching and training other healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge of radiology guidelines and pathology
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £53,755 to £60,504 per annum, pro rata. The successful candidate will also be eligible for a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
