Job Title: Band 7 Regional Rehabilitation Unit Advanced Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist to join our team at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) in Plymouth. As a Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) team, providing first-class care pathway management for military personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the line management of two Band 6 Physiotherapists and one Band 5 Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERI) who deliver the course rehabilitation program.
  • Triage, assessment, diagnosis, and planning of onward care pathways for injured service personnel referred to the RRU from physiotherapists and medical officers in our area of responsibility (AOR) and other referral sources outside the RRU's AOR.
  • Assure the provision of a comprehensive and professional rehabilitation service for entitled personnel, returning them to full fitness and maximizing their well-being.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Physiotherapist
  • Degree plus additional specialist training or experience to Masters level or equivalent
  • Appropriate Masters of Science (MSc) / Level 7 equivalent post graduate qualification or evidence of actively working towards
