Maintenance Operative - Temporary to Permanent Position
Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (35 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Overview:
We are actively seeking a Maintenance Operative to uphold the standards of a prestigious residential property in Brighton. Our client, a leading property management firm in the UK, oversees numerous high-end residential developments. This role offers a valuable opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in property maintenance within a reputable organization.
This position will commence on a temporary basis, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and order in communal areas
- Perform painting and decorating tasks
- Manage waste removal efficiently
- Provide comprehensive maintenance support to the property
- Document and report any defects or incidents, taking corrective measures in consultation with the Property Manager
- Conduct monthly checks on emergency lighting systems and ensure fire alarm tests are performed regularly with the Property Manager
- Execute routine repairs and replace door locks as necessary
- Ensure tools are securely stored and only used by authorized personnel
- Pressure wash and clean bin storage areas weekly, keeping all pathways and communal spaces tidy
- Carry out touch-up painting in communal areas as required
- Regularly inspect and maintain terrace areas, including plant care
