Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Officer to join our team at ABM. As a Security Officer, you will be the public face of our Security Team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and security of our clients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-class customer service to all visitors and tenants within the shopping centre.
  • Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre, being proactive and vigilant in identifying potential security risks.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to assist visitors and provide support where needed.
  • Safeguard the site and ensure a safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors and tenants.
  • Manage incidents in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with the site control room to respond to incidents and ensure colleagues are briefed and supported.
  • Report any unsecure areas of the site to the control room and take action to resolve.
  • Record and log all non-conformances and emergencies with the control room operatives.
  • Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies, keeping the Centre team informed.
  • Monitor and report suspicious behavior, logging and reporting incidents in line with site and company policies.
  • Maintain vigilance and manage unauthorized access by banned individuals.
  • Adhere to radio procedures and ensure all events and incidents are recorded in the Security Officer notebook correctly.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

  • Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful at all times while carrying out duties to the highest standard.
  • Take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.
  • Stay motivated, aim high, and achieve.
  • Respect all staff and visitors within the shopping centre.
