We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Safety Assurance Engineer to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a key member of our Product and Systems Engineering Unit, you will play a critical role in delivering high integrity software systems to various domains, including Aerospace, Defence, Rail, and Nuclear.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement system and software safety standards, such as BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C, and BS EN 26262, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to adapt safety standards to project needs and ensure effective safety engineering practices.
- Conduct hazard identification and analysis, SIL determination, cyber security safety assessment, and environmental risk assessment to ensure the safety and reliability of software systems.
- Develop and review safety deliverables, including documentation and reports, to demonstrate compliance with safety standards.
- Engage with clients to provide safety engineering expertise and support.
- Engineering degree and experience in safety engineering, with knowledge of system and software safety standards.
- Proven track record of working on high SIL/DAL projects and producing documentation demonstrating compliance to safety standards.
- Ability to adapt safety standards to new domains and projects.
- Experience drafting and reviewing safety deliverables and engaging with clients.
- Chartered Engineer appointment by the Engineering Council and UK national capable of gaining SC clearance.
