Programme Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing complex projects across the water sector, working closely with stakeholders and partners to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including programme managers, project coordinators, and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including programme managers, project coordinators, and external partners.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of the water sector, including industry trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
