Principal/Associate Water Environment Consultant required for a leading consultancy. This role involves managing and delivering hydraulic modelling projects with a focus on innovative, nature-based solutions and comprehensive Flood Risk Assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of high-quality projects, including Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Evacuation Management Plans, Environmental Impact Assessment Chapters, and Drainage Strategies.
  • Ensure quality assurance on technical outputs.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to a team of consultants.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across various sectors.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders, project teams, and clients.
  • Generate project inquiries while maintaining profitability.
  • Conduct necessary site visits to support project delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Senior, Principal, or Associate Water Environment Consultant within the UK.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK hydrological methodologies and flood risk management regulations.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller-TUFLOW, Infoworks-ICM, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.
  • Capability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent, with Chartered status being advantageous.
