Key ResponsibilitiesEngage in a variety of projects across different sectors, including residential developments, transportation infrastructure, and renewable energy facilities.
- Oversee various engineering initiatives from the initial concept to final execution, ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the management of project timelines and budgets, while supporting the development of less experienced team members.
- Formulate fire safety strategies and evaluate fire-related hazards within projects, working collaboratively to reduce risks whenever feasible.
- Conduct reviews and provide feedback on the quality of fire safety systems implemented.
- Mentor junior staff, serving as a technical advisor on project documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in engineering, preferably specializing in fire safety, or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Experience in fire safety roles, including experience outside of consultancy.
- Strong familiarity with various fire safety standards, such as BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, and EN45545.
- A proven history of successfully implementing fire safety strategies.
- Experience in fire modeling is advantageous.
- Progress towards achieving chartered fire engineer status.
- A flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel is considered beneficial.
- Good understanding of commercial aspects and a focus on client satisfaction.
