Lancashire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in West Lancashire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of specialist services for children, young people, and their families and carers in Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a team of Children's Services professionals and practitioners to ensure the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of specialist services for children, young people, and their families and carers in Lancashire.
- Hold a small, complex caseload and provide expert guidance and support to colleagues.
- Support the upskilling of workers and developing group supervision, use of the LCS workbook, and the embedding of motivational interviewing skills.
- Hold oversight responsibility for a Child and Family Practitioner and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required and provide leadership and support to the team.
- Support the delivery of effective support and services to children, young people, and families in line with the vision for Children and Families in Lancashire.
