About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Orthopaedic Sister to join our team at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the ward/department to ensure the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized holistic patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinating the activities of the ward/department team to ensure the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized holistic patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
- Encouraging an environment of empowerment through coaching, teaching, and facilitating.
- Managing the ward/department in the absence of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
- Managing the bed/unit bleep and coordinating flow alongside the site team and surgical flow matron.
- Ensuring support for all staff on the orthopaedic unit on a night.
