Role Overview

  • As a Lead Material Technology Specialist, you will be instrumental in guiding our CMF objectives and ensuring effective implementation across various product lines. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating intimately with internal teams (ID, CMF, Sustainability, Product Management, R&D, Operations, and Sourcing) and external stakeholders to advance the CMF strategy.
  • Supervising the execution of the CMF strategy in new product initiatives, ensuring compliance with international standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive colour approval process, global colour/material catalogue, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Promoting knowledge sharing among R&D centers and aiding in the creation of global processes for uniform CMF application across manufacturing locations worldwide.
  • Standardizing colour and material requirements, advocating for the use of sustainable and economically viable materials.
  • Serving as a global authority on colour/material, providing guidance in local development efforts.
  • Leading and validating colour/material innovations, keeping a detailed archive of relevant data.
  • Collaborating closely with R&D Material Technologists, particularly in roto, injection, coating, and metal processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Profound understanding of plastic materials and coating technologies.
  • Familiarity with diverse manufacturing techniques, including roto moulding, injection moulding, and surface finishing.
  • Strategic mindset focused on sustainable material and process innovations.
  • Experience working alongside industrial designers, particularly in colour and surface-related areas.
  • Enthusiastic about global business and skilled at connecting cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to coordinate with global R&D facilities and networks.
