About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at a luxury, award-winning hotel and spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the hotel's culinary offerings
  • Manage the pastry kitchen's inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to plan and execute special events and functions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a senior pastry chef in a high-volume, fresh food operation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
