About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Solid people. As a key member of our Professional Service team, you will be responsible for delivering successful projects that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate projects with clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of project objectives, plans, and timelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Present project plans and standard processes to clients and internal teams, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Maintain and update project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential issues and changes in project scope.
  • Build and manage customized project plans with the assistance of technical team members, ensuring thorough gathering and documentation of project requirements.
  • Conduct formal risk and issue management, developing mitigation strategies and monitoring project progress.
  • Monitor and report on project Earned Value, comparing actual progress to original estimates.
  • Assist the Sales team in estimating potential projects, providing input on proposals and statements of work.
  • Support the mentoring of junior project managers, providing guidance on project methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related discipline, or equivalent job experience.
  • Completed a Project Management fundamentals course (eLearning or instructor-led).
  • Certificate in Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, APM, AgilePM, Scrum Master, MSP, MoP, ITIL, or Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience, with a focus on software implementation or software development.
  • Understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based software deployments.
  • Exposure to design engineering and/or manufacturing operations and processes.
