Academic Development Specialist

This role involves leading on the strategic use of digital technologies to enhance staff and Post Graduate Researcher (PGR) capabilities within the University of Leeds. You will work on developing bespoke provision and supporting department-wide initiatives. Collaborating with the Digital Practice Team, you will deliver staff development in various areas such as learning design, inclusive practice, and effective use of technology platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on sustainable solutions and promote active learning.

You will be part of the Organisational Development and Professional Learning department, working closely with other teams to provide tailored support. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilitating digital innovation and advising on online technologies and pedagogies for student-centered education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital learning strategies to enhance staff and PGR capabilities
  • Collaborate with the Digital Practice Team to deliver staff development programs
  • Support department-wide initiatives to promote digital innovation and inclusive practice
  • Advise on online technologies and pedagogies for student-centered education
  • Work closely with other teams to provide tailored support and professional learning opportunities
