Job Title: Trade Sales Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Trade Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Trade Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Branch Manager with sales duties, customer service, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Duties:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service that exceeds all customer expectations
    • Approach customers and ensure they are dealt with efficiently, courteously, and promptly
    • Deal with customers' orders and queries in a confident, efficient, and professional manner
    • Develop comprehensive product knowledge
    • Identify improvements to processes to enhance customer service, reduce costs, and improve margin
    • Match customer needs to the best product available, remembering upselling and stock levels
    • Ensure all deliveries are checked off accurately, promptly, and relevant paperwork is passed on efficiently and quickly
    • Resolve customer issues/enquiries to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Create effective, up-to-date displays in the showroom, ensuring all products are clearly coded, priced, and kept clean and well presented
    • Ensure specific customer requirements are processed efficiently, promptly, and to meet delivery promise
    • Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable, and are completed
    • Be prepared to deputise effectively in the absence of the Branch Manager or Assistant Manager
