In the role of Railway Project Coordinator, you will oversee the execution of civil engineering and telecommunications projects from our client's operational base. This position is available on either a long-term contract or permanent employment basis, with compensation reflective of your expertise. Key Responsibilities of the Railway Project Coordinator:

  • Lead the application of industry standards and protocols, ensuring our client's dedication to efficiency, quality, safety, and environmental stewardship throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Design and implement projects in accordance with the stringent specifications mandated by industry regulations.
  • Utilize advanced risk management methodologies, including Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, to effectively oversee assigned projects while considering environmental factors.
  • Deliver expert project management guidance and supervise construction operations on-site.
  • Engage collaboratively with clients to perform thorough evaluations of design and construction processes.
  • Coordinate on-site quality assessments to guarantee compliance with established standards.
  • Manage all elements of Inspection & Test Plans, ensuring meticulous execution and precision.

Essential Qualifications for the Railway Project Coordinator:

  • Experience in civil engineering projects related to railways, with additional expertise in telecommunications installation viewed as advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience within the UK rail industry, including at least 2 years in a project coordination role.
  • Technical qualifications equivalent to HNC/HND or GNVQ level.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization is preferred.
  • Prior experience in project safety oversight is desirable.
  • Strong self-management and prioritization abilities, with a capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
