Job Title: Commercial Trader

At Fanatics, Inc., we're seeking a skilled Commercial Trader to join our Trading department. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in creating an engaging betting proposition that appeals to our customers while effectively managing trading risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor bets and manage prices to ensure a competitive and entertaining experience for our customers.
  • Assist in testing new sportsbook features and trading models, providing valuable input to the wider team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Trading department, identifying areas for automation and advancement.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop a best-in-class betting experience driven by data, user research, and competitor analysis.
  • Ensure that Fanatics prioritizes customer-centric Trading strategies.
  • Support other teams within the department as needed.
  • Be prepared for regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for offsite and team meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative or business field.
  • Experience in similar roles is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for sports and understanding of what sports fans want to be entertained.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Experience testing sportsbook platforms and developing trading models.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with quick decision-making.
  • Team-first mentality with a willingness to work cross-functionally across different teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Open to regular travel for events and meetings.
