Job Purpose

As a Technical Application Specialist, you will play a key role in our Decorative Paints business, using your expertise and decorating skills to carry out, interpret, and report on experimental paint work and product development projects. You will work closely with our team to ensure the successful execution of our operational plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct practical paint application tests to evaluate the performance of our coatings.
  • Provide feedback on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support paint demonstrations and reviews of new developments or existing paints for new customers.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Support the active rollout of new products and participate in ad-hoc application projects.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing colleagues to provide specimen panels and support product launches.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and contribute to the improvement of our standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a decorator or in a related field.
  • Excellent practical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
