Job Title: Governance Officer

We are seeking a Governance Officer to join our team at The Memcom Group, a professional membership body supporting over 80% of specialist healthcare professionals.

This role is focused on coordinating the meetings of various committees, providing secretariat support and governance services to the Board, Council, and Committees.

The successful candidate will manage the election cycle and appointments to the Council, reporting directly to the CEO for Board meeting requirements.

You will work closely with the Policy & Governance Manager, specializing in governance responsibilities and bringing committees together to create a single source of truth.

This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure.

We are looking for someone with thorough experience in taking minutes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to join things together and become the go-to expert for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate committee meetings and provide secretariat support
  • Manage election cycles and appointments to the Council
  • Provide governance services to the Board, Council, and Committees
  • Work closely with the Policy & Governance Manager
  • Develop and maintain a single source of truth for committee information
