Position: Production Test Engineer

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Stevenage

Compensation: £36 per hour (Inside IR35)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting tests on intricate electronic and electrical systems, diagnosing production test failures down to the component level, and identifying corrective actions promptly to maintain production schedules.
  • Evaluating test equipment issues and coordinating with support services to address equipment malfunctions. Analyzing technical challenges to propose investigations and corrective measures, including process enhancements.
  • Representing Test Engineering at Defect Review Board meetings to facilitate the efficient resolution of equipment and quality notifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • HNC/HND in Electronics or equivalent, along with substantial experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacturing and testing.
  • A solid understanding of measurement and testing principles, as well as the relevant equipment.
  • Familiarity with RF and microwave technology at the subsystem level is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Environmental testing, including Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), is also beneficial.
  • Completion of manual handling training.
  • Completion of ESD training.
