About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adviser/Trainee Adviser to join our team at Citizens Advice. As a key member of our community advice team, you will be responsible for delivering generalist advice services in a variety of community venues across the city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality advice services to clients in community venues, shaped by quarterly mapping exercises of data and listening to the voluntary sector and public sector partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Trainer to develop new ways of working and improve advice services.
  • Provide expert advice on welfare rights and money advice to clients, using a wide range of IT systems.
  • Contribute to the development of new projects and initiatives to improve advice services.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of current law and policy in relation to welfare rights and money advice.
  • At least 1-year experience of providing legal advice on a wide range of issues to members of the public.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • Confidence using a wide range of IT systems.
