Job Duties

The Healthcare Reception Coordinator will:

  • Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service to patients and visitors.
  • Assist with patient vaccination clinics and ensure accurate data entry into the recording system.
  • Open and secure the premises, ensuring all necessary preparations are made for patient reception.
  • Handle general inquiries and manage appointment requests via phone and in-person, updating the patient management system accordingly.
  • Process repeat prescription requests.

Administrative Responsibilities

The role includes:

  • Receiving and distributing internal and external communications.
  • Logging messages for clinicians regarding patient home visits.
  • Liaising with third-party agencies to coordinate patient care as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintaining accurate data entry into the practice's electronic records.
  • Processing incoming correspondence and scanning clinical information into patient files.
  • Managing telephone communications to facilitate timely interactions.
  • Providing non-clinical advice and information to patients and their families.
  • Chasing hospital results and managing queries as necessary.
  • Processing new patient registrations and address changes.
