Job Duties
The Healthcare Reception Coordinator will:
- Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service to patients and visitors.
- Assist with patient vaccination clinics and ensure accurate data entry into the recording system.
- Open and secure the premises, ensuring all necessary preparations are made for patient reception.
- Handle general inquiries and manage appointment requests via phone and in-person, updating the patient management system accordingly.
- Process repeat prescription requests.
Administrative Responsibilities
The role includes:
- Receiving and distributing internal and external communications.
- Logging messages for clinicians regarding patient home visits.
- Liaising with third-party agencies to coordinate patient care as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintaining accurate data entry into the practice's electronic records.
- Processing incoming correspondence and scanning clinical information into patient files.
- Managing telephone communications to facilitate timely interactions.
- Providing non-clinical advice and information to patients and their families.
- Chasing hospital results and managing queries as necessary.
- Processing new patient registrations and address changes.
- Filing and retrieving medical records in accordance with practice procedures.
