Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team, providing ongoing psychiatric care to residents/clients with mental or emotional problems. The successful candidate will provide routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, and coordination of care.
Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric care to residents/clients, including routine and emergency assessments.
- Attend weekly Treatment Team Meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
- Serve as a liaison with staff Medical Director, Clinical Director, and other treatment team members.
- Document patient encounters through weekly progress notes in the EMR and other encounters.
- Assist with utilization reviews for clients and provide cross-coverage to Psychiatry team cases when required.
- Maintain excellent communication with other members of the clinical team, outpatient providers, and family members.
- Complete discharge recommendation assessments as part of collaborative discharge summaries within 24 hours.
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or psychiatric APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) required.
- Board Certified preferred.
- Experience in child/adolescent and/or adult psychiatry required.
- Licensed in the State for which you are applying required.
- Experience in a residential setting preferred.
