The Fleet Services Team is currently looking for skilled Mechanics (Fleet Maintenance Technicians) to enhance our workforce.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking individuals with a background in vehicle repair and maintenance, particularly for commercial vehicles, along with a relevant qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology. The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to diagnose various vehicle issues and demonstrate a proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.

The ideal applicant will meet the following qualifications:

  • Possess GCSEs in English and Maths at grades A-C or equivalent
  • Exhibit strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective time management abilities
  • Have basic IT proficiency
  • Show capability to meet deadlines
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Commit to completing an apprenticeship
  • Be willing to attend training sessions

Role Responsibilities

This position offers a diverse range of tasks, allowing you to work on various vehicle types, sizes, and specifications. In return, you will receive support in achieving multiple qualifications and certifications to advance your career, including IMI Level 2 / 3 in Electric Hybrid Vehicle System Repair, IRTEC Vehicle Inspections, and the opportunity to become a nominated MOT tester.

Due to the nature of the work, a flexible approach to working hours is essential. The role requires the ability to work within a shift pattern that includes early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

A valid full UK driving licence is a mandatory requirement for this position, and holding a Category Class C licence would be advantageous, with support provided to achieve this.
