Quality Manager - Automotive Expert

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a global manufacturing organisation and contribute to the success of a multinational company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large team of quality professionals in implementing quality systems and processes.
  • First point of contact for all OEM and internal customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement 8D problem-solving activities to address customer concerns and delegate work to the team.
  • Audit systems and processes to IATF16949 standard, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze quality defect data to improve quality processes and reduce defects.
  • Collaborate with internal business functions to support NPI activities across APQP and PPAP submissions.

Requirements:

  • Proven management experience in a quality role within an automotive tier 1 or OEM background.
  • HNC/ Degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional level qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality systems, particularly IATF16949.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and with demanding OEM customers.
  • Excellent grasp of quality problem-solving tools, including APQP, 8D, MSA, 5Whys, and root cause analysis.
  • Lean six sigma tools - green belt certification preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to coach and build self-confidence in the team.
