This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and possess strong communication and collaboration skills. The successful applicant will have prior experience in electrical distribution and a solid understanding of product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by assisting clients courteously and efficiently while maintaining current knowledge of product technology and regulations.
- Guide customers in selecting and utilizing products, while also supporting colleagues in areas of expertise.
- Enhance sales through effective linked selling and other relevant techniques.
- Drive sales using appropriate strategies such as follow-ups on quotations, promotional selling, and telephone marketing.
- Utilize available technology to improve customer presentations and overall company performance (e.g., CAD systems, supplier catalogs).
- Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously, providing coverage for colleagues as needed.
- Process all inquiries and quotations efficiently, ensuring competitive pricing to secure orders at optimal margins.
- Support external representatives to develop customer accounts for maximum sales potential.
- Conduct site surveys to meet customer needs, ensuring clients are informed about product details prior to order placement.
- Manage special orders and direct purchases with preferred suppliers, negotiating the best prices in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate with customers and internal departments/suppliers to meet delivery requirements, keeping clients informed of any issues.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection for customers.
- Monitor customer credit limits and payment issues, collaborating with management to maximize sales potential and mitigate financial risks.
- Stay informed about competitor and customer activities to identify commercial threats and opportunities.
- Handle product returns and customer complaints efficiently, seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all sales and display areas, ensuring stock levels are adequately managed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical distribution.
- Background in a customer-facing sales position.
- Driving license (preferred).
- Experience in a telephone sales environment.
- Technical skills to extract quantities from plans.
