Job Title: Recycling Operative

Location: Livingston Designer Outlet

Shift Pattern: 5 days per week, Wednesday to Sunday, 37.5 hours per week

Reporting to: Cleaning Manager

Hourly Rate: £12.13 per hour

Main Responsibilities:
  • To carry out cleaning and recycling duties in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to the site's cleaning and recycling specification.
  • To segregate waste into the correct waste stream and communicate with the grounds team to ensure bins are emptied and empty bins are brought in.
  • To interact with members of the public and provide excellent customer service when required.
  • To carry out cleaning assignment responsibilities as designated by their Line Manager, including cleaning the room and bins.
  • To liaise with their Line Manager, Site Management, and team members daily to maintain a sound communication channel.
  • To deal with waste on site in accordance with recycling rules and regulations and Scottish law.
  • To maintain and use equipment safely, reporting any faults to ensure prompt resolution.
  • To use cleaning chemicals correctly, minimizing waste and maintaining sufficient stocks.
  • To adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • To maintain a positive working relationship with the client and others on site.
Person Specification:
  • Previous industry experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Physical fitness to stand, walk, and carry out manual duties throughout the shift.
  • Effective communication and professionalism with colleagues, members of the public, and site management.
  • Ability to work well with others and inspire respect and confidence.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and a supportive team player.
  • An immediate start is available with this position.
