Job Overview

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Officer to support the day-to-day operational management of Appleton Court, an extra care scheme located in the East Riding.

As a Care Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the care needs of our tenants are met and supporting our care team in delivering these needs.

Our focus is on providing outcomes-based care plans, promoting access to community activities, utilizing technology-enabled care, and offering support to our tenants to enable them to live independently.

We are looking for a candidate with experience working in an adult social care setting, who has previously worked in a supervisory position.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of relevant legislation and standards in regulated services for vulnerable adults, an understanding of CQC Regulations and Reporting Procedures, and the ability to manage, lead, and supervise a staff group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operational management of Appleton Court
  • Ensure the care needs of our tenants are met
  • Support our care team in delivering care needs
  • Develop and implement outcomes-based care plans
  • Promote access to community activities
  • Utilize technology-enabled care
  • Support tenants to live independently

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including shift allowance and night shift pay, as well as access to training and development opportunities.

An enhanced DBS clearance check including Adults Barred List will be required.
