Job Summary

Adele Carr Recruitment is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our client's team in Warrington. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing and processing accounts payable and purchase ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable: Process and manage incoming invoices, credit notes, and other financial documents.
  • Credit Control: Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt.
  • Posting Invoices: Accurately post invoices, credit notes, and other financial transactions to the general ledger.
  • Reconciling Statements: Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage and verify supplier details, match invoices against purchase orders, and prepare monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Petty Cash Management: Oversee the management of petty cash and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Processing Daily Post: Process and manage daily post, including invoices, credit notes, and other financial documents.
  • Assisting on Month-End Process: Assist with the month-end process, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • CIS and Experience with Sub-Contractors: Experience with CIS and sub-contractors is desirable.
  • Minimum 3 Years' Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger role processing invoices and timesheets weekly.
  • Prior Experience in Construction or Property Development: Prior experience in construction or property development with experience of dealing with multiple entities is desirable.
  • Excellent Understanding of Microsoft Excel: Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other MS Office packages.
  • Experience with Sage 50 or Sage 200: Experience using Sage 50 or Sage 200 or similar accounting software.
  • Consistently Meet Month-End Deadline Requirements: Consistently and accurately meet month-end deadline requirements.
