Business Systems Analyst (Finance) Opportunity

We are pleased to represent a 12-month fixed-term contract for a successful engineering firm, seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a background in finance and expertise in supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

This project involves working with their existing ERP systems to deliver value-added solutions that shape and support business processes. The role will focus on the Purchase Ledger and E-invoicing modules.

The position will be a hybrid arrangement, with regular visits to the client's site in either Birmingham or Warrington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and documenting system change requirements from stakeholders
  • Managing and documenting system changes through to implementation
  • Coordinating with third-party software partners for system changes and any escalations
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure changes meet requirements
  • Testing upgrades, service packs, and fixes in line with company policies
  • Providing third-line support for business systems
  • Assisting in the development of training materials
  • Maintaining and configuring systems

Requirements:

  • Strong business analysis experience in a similar role
  • Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g., COINS, Dynamics, Oracle, SAP)
  • Experience working across business finance functions (e.g., purchase ledger, E-invoicing)
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong time management, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the House Building/Construction/Civils industries is desirable
