About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Chef Manager to join our team at Thomas Franks Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our kitchens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Head Chef/Chef Manager with holiday and sickness cover
  • Assist with mobilisations and troubleshooting at locations requiring additional support
  • Cover vacancies and provide relief in our kitchens
  • Prepare and cook food to order using fresh ingredients and following our brand standards
  • Create bespoke seasonal menus from regional and local suppliers
  • Conduct food costings and complete company bookwork
  • Ensure adherence to company food standards and wastage control
  • Implement and maintain Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment at Head Chef or Chef Manager level
  • Excellent client relationship skills and ability to work effectively with our teams
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Innovation and passion for great food
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a sound financial understanding
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding and use of verbal English
  • Ability to demonstrate a good standard of written English and reading skills
  • Recognized cooking qualification such as City & Guild 706/1 & 2 or equivalent
