About the Role
RISE, a mental health and wellbeing service dedicated to children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our Eating Disorder and Home Intervention Service. Our team has experienced significant growth, expanding our Home Treatment program to provide vital support within both clinic settings and young people's homes.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering children and young people struggling with eating disorders and their families. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, under the guidance of a Band 6 Eating Disorder Nurse and Team Lead, to help them adhere to meal plans and encourage healthy eating habits within their home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to children and young people with eating disorders who exhibit challenging behaviors related to food intake, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Contribute to the prevention of inappropriate hospital admissions by assisting in the implementation of home treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each individual.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with service users, their families, and other professionals.
