Job Title: Risk & Compliance Lawyer

Montresor Legal is seeking a highly skilled Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join our in-house legal team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the firm's commercial contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice during contract negotiations to minimize risk and ensure favorable terms for the firm.
  • Identify and assess potential legal risks in contracts and procurement activities, proposing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and the firm's policies.
  • Advise on and oversee the legal aspects of the firm's procurement processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience as a risk lawyer or in-house lawyer.
  • Strong background in commercial law, particularly in procurement, contract negotiation, drafting, and management.
  • Client-oriented approach, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work on supplier contracts with minimal supervision.
