Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Registration Programme at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a newly registered nurse, you will participate as a member of the nursing team to provide high-quality patient care and support the team in delivering a quality service.

The programme is designed to support you through your journey to registering with the NMC and your next step in your career. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and professional non-medical education team, including a continuing professional development lead, responsible for staff development.

In return, we offer a Band 5 to Band 6 fast-track scheme, which gives our Band 5 nurses the skills and competencies they need to enable them to be ready for Band 6 opportunities that arise. You will also have access to an annual appraisal scheme, commitment and participation in a clinical excellence accreditation framework, and a supportive environment that values your contributions.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting the team in delivering a quality service, and participating in the training and development of junior staff. You will work closely with the Sisters/Charge Nurses and Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

You will be required to complete a full application with a personal statement, sit a formal interview and assessment process, and demonstrate your commitment to lifelong learning and evidence of further education, training, and ongoing learning.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to lifelong learning, has evidence of further education, training, and ongoing learning, and is eligible to join the NMC register following completion of the test of competence and OSCE. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work within a team.
