Production Engineer Job Description

Location: Stafford, Staffordshire

Package Details: 28 days holiday, Pension Contributions

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday (40 hours per week) – 4 DAY WORKING WEEK

A leading SME engineering business in Stafford is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing team.

This role will appeal to a Production Engineer who is passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  2. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  3. Analyze throughput and work with the team to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  4. Contribute to the creation and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  5. Act as a liaison between design and manufacturing teams.
  6. Investigate mechanical and electrical component issues and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  1. Production or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  2. Proven track record of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  3. Ability to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
  4. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
