About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Coventry Building Society. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our IT infrastructure, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain our Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high levels of security, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Provide strategic expertise to ensure the effective management of our infrastructure, including troubleshooting production issues and developing standards and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless integration with our ITIL framework.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for our infrastructure, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for our team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within our infrastructure.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer who possesses a strong background in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy. You should have excellent troubleshooting skills, experience with Windows-based applications, and a solid understanding of ITIL principles.

Desirable Skills

  • PowerShell or other infrastructure scripting skills
  • Knowledge of Globalscape EFT
  • M365 / Exchange Online
  • Citrix Experience
  • SCCM and server patching
  • Exposure to VMware Esxi and Vcentre.
  • Amazon AWS experience
  • Microsoft Azure experience
  • Exposure to File servers and services
  • Certificate Services.
  • Experience with Backup software
  • Antivirus suites
