Our organization is a prominent supplier of radiation safety and related services, collaborating closely with healthcare institutions, including both public and private sectors. Our clientele also encompasses veterinary and dental professionals, as well as various sectors such as security, industry, and education.

Located at our operational site, the successful candidate will work in tandem with the broader team to perform on-site service maintenance and operational assessments across a diverse range of advanced equipment throughout the country. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills for this vital client-facing role, enhancing our reputation as a premier provider of radiation safety services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute pre and post-survey administrative tasks in line with the quality management framework to prepare survey data for analysis.
  • Conduct safety evaluations, including surveys of equipment and environments where ionising and non-ionising radiation apparatus or radioactive materials are utilized. This primarily involves medical and dental equipment in healthcare settings, but may extend to other industries.
  • Offer technical assistance to the Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA) to ensure adherence to the Ionising Radiation Regulations.
  • Support the Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in compliance with the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance team by utilizing specialized software tools.
  • Provide training to personnel on safe practices in ionising and non-ionising environments and conduct local quality assurance.
  • Contribute to both internal and external training initiatives.
  • Perform checks and maintenance on all equipment, including vehicles and radiation testing devices.
  • Coordinate the calibration of technical equipment with the authorized calibration service.
  • Report any faults or deficiencies to the Survey Manager.
  • Participate in the Computer Tomography (CT) specialist group to deliver exceptional support services to clients nationwide.
  • Assist the CT team in research and development for quality assurance processes.
  • Prepare audits for Radiographic, Fluoroscopic, and CT Patient Dose for relevant business unit clients.
  • Support the review of Radiation Risk Assessments, Planning Reports, and Dose Optimization Studies for CT departments across the nation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A degree in a scientific discipline is essential.
  • A valid driving license is required due to travel obligations. Company vehicles will be provided for this purpose.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • Experience in data analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of CT scanners.


Given the nature of this role, the candidate should be prepared to work on-site at various locations across the country. It is anticipated that approximately 15-20 overnight stays per year will be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
