Health and Safety Manager

We're a leading provider of smart energy solutions, and we're looking for a skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our compliance and safety team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities for improvement to reduce hazards and improve safety.
- Work closely with the logistics and transport teams to ensure safe working practices and procedures.
- Manage third-party HSE providers and drive a safety culture across the organization.
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
- Evaluate facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover direct causes.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures and report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager.
- Experience in the health and safety side of Logistics and Transport as well as understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
- Hold a NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Hold an internal auditing qualification e.g. ISO45001.
- Have in-depth understanding of UK H&S legislation and its practical application in social housing refurbishment projects or similar (CDM, WAH, Asbestos and Gas etc).
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
